Following on from discussions at last year's AGM and developments at the Quay, we decided to perform our July production at Sudbury Arts Centre this year. Directors Lorna and Malcolm have decided to make a virtue of necessity and stage a play which makes good use of the space and facilities. So SDS are proud to present Agatha Christie’s thrilling drama Witness for the Prosecution - the first Agatha Christie play we've staged since the 1950s. 

The play

In the shadow of the gallows Leonard fights to clear his name of a murder charge. But can he rely on those he has chosen to help prove his innocence? Witness the desperate twists and turns of evidence and fortune as the noose tightens. Will the jury acquit or must the hangman do his solemn duty?

Agatha Christie needs no introduction as the undisputed queen of detective fiction and this drama has been delighting audiences for many years.
