**Our book marking the centenary of SDS is still on sale via online, by post or in person from the Quay Theatre box office**
The book explains how the members raised the funds to buy and convert an old warehouse on the River Stour into the Quay Theatre. This opened in 1981 and the society continue to perform there, as well as to tour destinations as Laroles (Spain) and Felixstowe (Suffolk).
